ELITE DANCE PROJECT CLASSES

BALLET/POINTE

Ballet is the foundation of all dance genres. It is a classical form of dance that teaches grace, technique and precision. *Pointe is offered for students who have a solid ballet background and receive permission to participate from our pointe teacher.

TAP

Tap dance is a type of dance characterized by using the sounds of metal taps affixed to the heel and toe of shoes striking the floor as a form of percussion, coupled with both characteristic and interpretative body movements.

JAZZ

Jazz class will focus on learning proper dance technique such as isolations of the body, improving performance quality and developing complex rhythms and patterns. Students will be exposed to various styles of jazz such as Broadway, Street and Contemporary to help develop a well rounded dancer. *Our intermediate and advanced jazz classes are taught by the incredible NFL Detroit Lion's Cheerleader, Miss Tianna Renae!

ACROBATICS/GYMNASTICS

Acrobatics is a combination of dance and tumbling. Students first learn basic gymnastics skills such as cartwheels, back bends and rolls, then advance to tucks, aerials and springs. Acrobatics also uses the flexibility of the back and the legs to execute slow and controlled movements.

LYRICAL

Lyrical is an expressive genre of dance that uses ballet and jazz technique to tell a story through movement.

HIPHOP

Hip hop is a high-energy class that infuses the latest styles of street dancing, breaking, popping, and locking. Classes will encourage students to step outside of the box by bringing their own individual style and personality to the movements. *Our intermediate and advanced hiphop classes are taught by the incredible NFL Detroit Lion's Cheerleader, Miss Tianna Renae!
